Supporting local volunteers to restore SEAs

This programme aims to support our local volunteers to achieve the objectives of the Pest Free Kaipātiki Strategy to help restore native biodiversity in Significant Ecological Areas (SEAs) on public and private land.

The funding is available to support, enhance and develop new and existing community-based volunteer (bush restoration groups and other like-minded groups) projects that the community has recognised as important to the restoration of the native biodiversity in a particular area.

The project is funded by the Kaipātiki Local Board (KLB), the Birkenhead Licensing Trust, Auckland Council, the Department of Conservation and other funding providers.

Current rounds of funding are closed. We will release further details of new application rounds when grant funding is available.

Bush restoration groups can download a copy of the 2019/2020 VIP Overview Document or a copy of the Application Form
