Volunteer activities in March


Pest Free Kaipaitki are looking for volunteers who can assist us in the month of March with a number of great events.

Kauri Park School Festival

Friday, 6th March from 4.30pm until 6.30pm at Kauri Park School.

We are seeking volunteers who can assist with registering and handing our rat traps and pest plant information.

Keas Talk (Junior Scouts)

On the 9th March and 12th March from 5.30pm to 6.30pm we will be handing out further info packs for tracking tunnels.

We are seeking someone who would be able to attend one or both these nights to hand out packs and teach kids about how to use tracker tunnels for monitoring.

Beach Haven Fun Run & Walk

Sunday, 15 March at Shepherds Park in Beachhaven at 10am.

We are seeking volunteers who can assist with registering and handing our rat traps and pest plant information.

EcoFest North

Tuesday, 17th March "Tea & Topics" at Glenfield Library from 10.30-12pm

We are seeking a volunteer who would be able to talk about the importance of nature in our community, the work you can do in your backyard and with communities.

Schools

This month we issued our first School Newsletter we are now planning to enage with a number of schools in particular Northcote, Verrans, Willow and Chelsea.

We are seeking someone who would be able to support these schools with ongoing citizen science eg. chew card, tracker tunnels, deploy traps, weeding and bush restoration. Working closely with PFK and the School.
