Virtual volunteer activities in April


Pest Free Kaipāitki are looking for volunteers who can assist us virtually in the month of April. Below are a list of activities that we would love your support on:

Greening of Kaipatiki Project - designed to retain our urban canopy cover in Kaipatiki, looking at removing pest plants and replanting. Possible roles include;

  • Getting streets ready for street trees.

  • Being a tree champion - finding locations to get permission and then plant.

  • Finding trees streets that need care.

  • Get large pest trees replaced with food trees.

Street Champions - Distributing information about halos and pest free initiatives in your street. Encouraging people to do something to contribute at home.

Ecotrack

  • 'How to' video - Testers - Help us ensure we have articulated how best to use Ecotrack in our 'How to' video.

  • Support others in how to use Ecotrack

Collateral design - Calling all graphic designers to support us in our graphic design.

Pimp my Trailer - Design and install racking system in trailer.

Building Timms trap platforms - Find wood ( pallets) for Building Timms trap platforms.

Writing Funding proposals - For a range of activities.

Data entry - for a range of activities.

Advanced Technical expertise: Anyone with advanced experience in the following areas to support.

  • Ubiquity (Qrious) Engage

  • CatchIT - uploading data

  • GIS skills - developing polygons in Google Maps or Google Earth

  • G-Suite systems administration
